Some public transport routes to change during Riga Marathon
During the Marathon, those passengers having bought tickets to the trams and trolleybus routes that will be temporarily closed will be allowed to use trams, trolleybuses and buses of other routes to reach the necessary destinations, without registering their trips.
Buses
On bus routes No. 1 and 9 – buses will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street, Dzirnavu and further by the route. From the city centre the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route;
On bus routes No. 2 and 24 – buses will run to the city centre by the route to Duntes Street, then in Duntes Street, Kr.Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street, A.Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Duntes Street and further by the route.
On bus routes No. 3, 21 and 40 – buses will run from Bolderāja, Imanta and Ziepniekkalns by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. To Bolderāja, Imanta and Ziepniekkalns, the buses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas and further by the route.
On bus route No.6 – buses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A.Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street, Satekles Street to bus stop „Central Railway Terminal”. From the Central Railway Terminal buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
On bus route No.11 – buses will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A.Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre, the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Kr.Valdemāra Street and further by the route.
On bus route No.12, from 8.00 till 12.00, buses will run to the city centre by the route to Turgeņeva Street, then in Gogoļa Street, F.Sadovņikova Street, Ludzas Street, Lauvas Street, Lomonosova Street, Lubānas Street, Salaspils Street, Rušonu Street, Prūšu Street, Maskavas Street, across Dienvidu Bridge and further by the route.
On bus routes No. 14 and 16 – buses will run to the city centre by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route.
On bus route No.13 – buses will run to railway station „Preču-2” by the route to Daugavgrīvas Street, then in Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, then on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Marijas Street and further by the route. On the way to Babīte railway station the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Raņķa dambis, Daugavgrīvas Street and further by the route.
On bus route No. 20 – buses will run from Pļavnieki by the route to K.Valdemāra Street, then in K.Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street and back.
On bus route No. 50 – buses will run to the city centre by the route to A.Čaka Street, then in A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route. From the city centre the buses will run by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A. Čaka Street, Stabu Street and further by the route.
On bus routes No. 37, 41 and 53 – buses will run from Imanta and Zolitūde by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, then on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Inženieru Street to the „University of Latvia” stop on trolleybus route No. 15. To Imanta and Zolitūde, the buses will run in Inženieru Street, Raiņa Boulverd, 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across AkmensBridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
Bus route No. 57 will be closed on May 18.
Trams
On tram route No. 5 – trams will run from Iļģuciems to the Central market and back. A part of the route to Mīlgravis will be closed.
On tram route No. 6 – trams will run from Jugla to Railway Terminal Square (Radio Street). A part of the route to Ausekļa Street will be closed.
On tram route No. 7 – trams will run from TC „Dole” by the route to tram stop „Central Market” in Maskavas Street, then in Maskavas Street, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Prāgas Street and back to TC „Dole”. A part of the route to Ausekļa Street will be closed.
The Retro tram will run from 10:10 till 15:00 by route „Radio Street – Mežaparks – Radio Street”. After 15:00 the Retro tram will return to its normal route „Ausekļa Street – Radio circle – Mežaparks”.
Trolleybuses
Trolleybus route No. 1 will be closed.
On trolleybus route No. 3 – trolleybuses will run from the Central Market to Sarkandaugava and Kundziņsala by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, K.Valdemāra Street and further by the route. From Sarkandaugava and Kundziņsala the trolleybuses will run by the route to K.Valdemāra Street, then in K.Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street, A.Čaka Street and Marijas Street to the Central Market.
Trolleybus route No. 5 will be closed.
On trolleybus route No. 9 – trolleybuses will run from Railway Terminal Square to Iļģuciems by the route to Uzvaras Boulevard, then in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street to Baložu Street and further by the route.
On trolleybus route No. 12 – trolleybuses will run from Šmerlis to Āgenskalna priedes by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A.Čaka Street, Marijas Street, 13th January Street, across AkmensBridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street, Kalnciema Street to Baložu Street and further by the route. From Āgenskalna priedes to Šmerlis the trolleybuses will run by the route to Kalnciema Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Raņķa dambis, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street to Brīvības Street and further by the route.
On trolleybus route No. 14 – trolleybuses will run from Mežciems by the route to Bruņinieku Street, then in Bruņinieku Street, K.Valdemāra Street, Stabu Street and back in Brīvības Street to Mežciems.
On trolleybus route No. 17 – trolleybuses will run from Purvciems by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A.Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street and Satekles Street to the Central Railway Terminal (terminal of trolleybus route No. 23) and back in Satekles Street, Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route to Purvciems.
On trolleybus route No. 19 – trolleybuses will run from Inženieru Street (terminal of trolleybus route No. 15) to Ziepniekkalns traffic control centre (terminal of bus route No. 40). On the way from the University of Latvia, the trolleybuses will have to stop at the „Central Railway Terminal” stop of trolleybus No. 15, but they will not stop at the „Central Railway Terminal” stop of trolleybus routes No. 3, 19 and 24 near the tunnel.
On trolleybus route No. 24 – trolleybuses will run from JSC Dzintars to Inženieru Street (terminal of trolleybus route No. 15). On the way from the University of Latvia, the trolleybuses will have to stop at the „Central Railway Terminal” stop of trolleybus No. 15, but they will not stop at the „Central Railway Terminal” stop of trolleybus routes No. 3, 19 and 24 near the tunnel.
Trolleybus route No. 25 will be closed.
Minibuses
On minibus route No. 200 – minibuses will run from the city centre in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and further by the route. To the city centre, the minibuses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A.Čaka Street and Marijas Street.
On minibus route No. 224 – minibuses will run from the city centre in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, K. Valdemāra Street and further by the route. To the city centre, the minibuses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A.Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
On minibus route No. 267 – minibuses will run from the city centre by the route to Lāčplēša Street, then in Tērbatas Street, Bruņinieku Street, Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, K.Valdemāra Street and further by the route. To the city centre, the minibuses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, Tērbatas Street, Lāčplēša Street and further by the route.
On minibus routes No. 206 and 212 – minibuses will run from the city centre by the route to Marijas Street, then in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. To the city centre, the minibuses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Gogoļa Street and further by the route.
On minibus route No. 222 – minibuses will run from the city centre by the route to Satekles Street, then in Marijas Street, A.Čaka Street, Bruņinieku Street, Brīvības Street and further by the route. To the city centre the minibuses will run by the route to Stabu Street, then in Stabu Street, A. Čaka Street, Marijas Street, Elizabetes Street to the minibus station (MTS).
On minibus route No. 216 – minibuses will run from Višķu by the route to Tērbatas Street, then in Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). On the way back the minibuses will run from Railway Terminal Square to Višķu Street.
On minibus route No. 237 – minibuses will run from Imanta by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, then on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Tērbatas Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). To Imanta, the minibuses will run in 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
On minibus route No. 236 – minibuses will run from Zolitūde by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, then on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Tērbatas Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). To Zolitūde, the minibuses will run in 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
On minibus route No. 241 – minibuses will run from the Airport by the route to Slokas Street, then in Kalnciema Street, Daugavgrīvas Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge, then on 11th November Embankment, in 13th January Street, Merķeļa Street, Tērbatas Street, Elizabetes Street, Marijas Street (terminal at Marijas Street 1). To the Airport, the minibuses will run in 13th January Street, on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Slokas Street and further by the route.
